The MCP server gives an AI assistant a standardized, authenticated way to send WhatsApp messages through your HookyourLeads account.
HookyourLeads's MCP server follows the authenticated remote MCP spec, so it's hosted and managed centrally — there's nothing to run yourself. Right now it exposes a single send_message tool for automated WhatsApp messaging.
1. Open your Claude Desktop configuration file:
Follow these steps to reach the configuration:
Or open the file directly:
# macOS
~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
# Windows
%APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json
2. Add this configuration and restart Claude Desktop:
Standard configuration (https://app.yourbrand.com):
{
"mcpServers": {
"whatsapp-hookyourleads": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"mcp-remote",
"https://app.yourbrand.com/mcp-server/sse",
"--header",
"x-api-key:your_api_key_here",
"--header",
"x-phone-id:your_phone_id_here"
]
}
}
}
3. Replace the placeholder values with your real credentials:
Follow these steps to get your API key:
Note: x-phone-id is only required when you have multiple phone numbers linked to your account. If you have only one phone number, this header can be omitted.
Follow these steps to get your Phone ID:
4. After restarting Claude, you should see "whatsapp-hookyourleads" in your MCP connections.
1. Open Cursor's MCP settings (Settings, then Features, then MCP) and add a new server with this configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"whatsapp-hookyourleads": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"mcp-remote",
"https://app.yourbrand.com/mcp-server/sse",
"--header",
"x-api-key:your_api_key_here",
"--header",
"x-phone-id:your_phone_id_here"
]
}
}
}
Save, then restart Cursor. The integration should appear in its MCP tool list. Replace the placeholder credentials as described in the Claude Desktop tab.
1. Add the server to your MCP-compatible extension's settings (for example, in its mcp.json):
{
"servers": {
"whatsapp-hookyourleads": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"mcp-remote",
"https://app.yourbrand.com/mcp-server/sse",
"--header",
"x-api-key:your_api_key_here",
"--header",
"x-phone-id:your_phone_id_here"
]
}
}
}
Reload the window after saving so the extension picks up the new server. Replace the placeholder credentials as described in the Claude Desktop tab.
1. Open WindSurf's MCP configuration and add:
{
"mcpServers": {
"whatsapp-hookyourleads": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"mcp-remote",
"https://app.yourbrand.com/mcp-server/sse",
"--header",
"x-api-key:your_api_key_here",
"--header",
"x-phone-id:your_phone_id_here"
]
}
}
}
Restart WindSurf, then confirm the connection appears in its MCP panel. Replace the placeholder credentials as described in the Claude Desktop tab.
The MCP server authenticates using the credentials in that configuration. You'll need to:
